Sean Nelson and the Road Dawgs to Perform

After having many requests for some country music and southern rock on the outside stage, we were thrilled to have Sean Nelson and the Road Dawgs agree to perform Saturday, September 26th at 2:10 PM at PorktoberQue.

Born and raised in south Georgia, Sean Nelson had a love for music at an early age. So when he had the chance, he moved to Nashville and learned as much as he could about the music industry. After moving back down south, just outside of Enterprise, AL., Sean surrounded himself with an extremely talented group of musicians called The Road Dawgs. Sean and the Road Dawgs have since been fortunate enough to share the stage with names such as Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Mark Chestnut, John Anderson, David Allen Coe, Daryle Singletary, Rhett Adkins, Craig Hand, and Trent Wilmon just to name a few. The Road Dawgs members are: Scott Summerlin (drums), Rob Seymour (bass), Chris McMahan (guitar), Lanny Nichols (guitar), and Bud Ellis (keyboard). Pure and Simple Bluegrass to Headline PorktoberQue 9/26

PorktoberQue is pleased to have one of the best bluegrass bands in the area headlining the Saturday of the festival this year. Pure and Simple Bluegrass will perform just before the barbecue awards from 3:30-5:30 (the awards are at 5:30) and will energize and entertain the crowds.

Pure & Simple Bluegrass Has been entertaining the masses for 15 years. They do music from many genres of music from Bluegrass to 70’s classic rock, with a sprinkle of comedy and magic thrown in. the members are, Steve Kirkland- Bass, Vocals, Travis Perry- Guitar, Dobro,Vocals, Mike Hutto- Guitar,vocals, Ronnie Rutherford- Mandolin, comedy, and Greg Wigham-Banjo.

Pure and Simple Bluegrass will be performing thanks to the generosity of our sponsor, Chord Buddy. The Chord Buddy is a teaching system for learning how to play the guitar, and it was a successful product that was snapped up by a “shark” on the show, Shark Tank. The Chord Buddy is successful, because as soon as the ChordBuddy is properly attached to your acoustic or electric guitar, you will be able to make music. Within a few weeks, you’ll begin removing some of the tabs and making the chords on your own. In two months, you’ll be able to play the guitar with no ChordBuddy at all! This makes it the fastest and easiest way to learn to play guitar, and there should be some Chord Buddies at PorktoberQue if you are interested in trying one out.

C4 Project Headlines Friday Night

Fun. Funky. Fresh. These are all adjectives used to describe the C4 Project, a hot new band that’s going to be playing Friday night at PorktoberQue. Though it is comprised of seasoned musicians, the group recently formed and combined talents and styles of music. The results have been nothing short of amazing! They are scheduled to be on the main (outside) stage Friday night September 25 from 7:30-9:30. You won’t want to miss them! (And don’t forget while they are on break, you can pop into the metal building to the right of the stage and enjoy the polka music, air conditioning and cold beer in the Fest Haus!)
