Corn Hole Tournament needs players!

Cornhole (also known as dummy boardsbean bag tossdadholedoghouseBaggo or Bags) is an American lawn game in which players take turns throwing bags of corn (or bean bags) at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. A bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Play continues until a team or player reaches the score of 21.

Sounds easy enough, right? Try your luck and form a two-person team to compete against others at PorktoberQue. Your $20 entry fee gets you 4 tickets in (a $20 value) and signs you up to compete. All of the $20 registration fee goest to support the NHS Girls Soccer program, which recently went to the state championship in 2016, the first group to go in 15 years of the school’s program.

Your tickets get your 2-person team in the gate Friday night to practice between 6-9 on the boards, and then gets you back in on Saturday to compete. The tournament begins at 2pm. (Your ticket can even get you back in on Sunday to see the finals of the Ultimate Air Dogs championships!) Call 334-794-3179 if you have questions or would like to sign up over the phone.

Do you know how to play bean-bag toss/ cornhole?

For the third year, the Cornhole in the Wiregrass Tournament is set to coincide with PorktoberQue at the Houston County Farm Center September 25-26. Teams who pre-register will not only get a discount, but also receive $16 worth of admission tickets to PorktoberQue. Pre-registration is just $20 and includes practice rounds Friday night and the tournament Saturday. You must pre-register by September 15 to receive the discount. Registrations after that date and the day of are $25 but do not include the 4 tickets into PorktoberQue.

Cornhole Tournament Winners Receive Additional Prize

Originally, we thought the Cornhole tournament winners would just receive a trophy and bragging rights. However, due to the generosity of Yates Hobby Shop in Bonifay, FL the winning team will also receive a set of boards for their victory!

Teams Till Needed for CornHole Tournament

To take place in the grassy area in the middle of PorktoberQue- Friday night are practice rounds from 6-9pm. Saturday the cornhole tournament begins at 3 pm with awards (trophies)  and scores to follow. Each team registered receives 4 tickets in to PorktoberQue (a $12 value), so sign up today!

Backyard Athletes… Corn Hole Tournament Coming to PorktoberQue!

Are you into that bean bag tossing game popular at tailgate parties and in backyards across the country? If you think you and a partner have the right stuff to compete, then sign up for the Corn Hole in the Wiregrass Tournament, to be held at PorktoberQue September 26-27. Each two person team who registers receives 4 general admission tickets (so you can both come out Friday to practice and Saturday to compete) and gets entered into the tournament. Competition play is Saturday at 3pm with awards to immediately follow. All proceeds benefit youth athletics and the Dothan High School Cross Country team. Yyour two person team will compete against other Wiregrass-area teams in a winner-take-all competition.  Included in your advance registration are four general admission tickets (two for each day, so you can come and practice Friday and compete Saturday), and access to all the free activities, games and events at PorktoberQue. Come early and enjoy the Car Show, or stay late and enjoy the food, drinks and bands— Entry fee is $20 for a two-person team, and you can enter by sending in the slip below. All teams registered before September 20 will be listed on our web site, www.PorktoberQue.com under the activities/ corn hole tab.
