Most people love music, no matter what age they are. And, for the past few decades, some of the best songs have come from hip hop and rap. The kids first heard this in Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, but that won’t be the last time. They’ll be asking for you to play it in your car. And after, they want you to play it again.
3. Me, Myself and I – De La Soul
Oh, yes, we’re going to make sure your kids get some culture. There’s no reason to stick to the latest songs. De La Soul knew how to jam back in the 80s, and this beat is still great today.

4. Fallen – Jaden Smith
Will Smith’s son is also a talented performer, and “Fallen” is a fun one for kids to enjoy. Put this one on when you want them to chill out a bit. It’s a jam, but it’s a calmer one.
5. Rapper’s Delight – Sugarhill Gang
It doesn’t matter what year they were born. One hundred percent of kids enjoy memorizing these lyrics and then rapping them back to you at break-neck speeds.

Admit it. You like the Minions, too. There’s no shame in that. And Pharrell Williams only makes them cooler with this jam.

8. U Can’t Touch This – M.C. Hammer
When this song came out in 1990, every kid had to learn the Hammer dance. Brush off your own skills and see if you can impress the kids of today. His pants are optional, of course.

Way, way back in the olden times, Beyoncé was in a group, and she rocked the world with this song. It has a great message of power for kids to learn, too.
12. I Like to Move It – will.i.am
Have your kids seen the Madagascar movies? They’ll love them. And then they’ll never stop singing this song.
13. Dancing in the Dark – Rihanna
Straight from the Home soundtrack, this Rihanna song is sweet perfection. It’s kid-friendly and tons of fun.
14. Men in Black – Will Smith
It’s an oldie, but a goodie. And this one comes complete with full choreography that your kids will be doing in the living room within minutes.

15. Jump – Kris Kross
Parents in the 90s were sick of “Jump” about a week after it came out. Let’s bring it back and get those kids jumping all around the yard.

This kid song is so legit that people play it at nightclubs. If your kids are Monsters, Inc. fans, they’ll want this on their playlist.

20. It’s the Hard Knock Life – From Annie(2014)

Another kid-movie hit, Trolls knocked it out of the park with this great song. It’s safe for hip hop lovers of all ages.
22. Walk the Dinosaur – Queen Latifah
Put this on if you can handle hearing “Boom boom acka-lacka lacka boom” about a million times today.
23. Whomp! There It Is (KIDZ BOP Kids Version) – Tag Team
The original of this song isn’t totally safe for the little ears, but KIDZ BOP Kids has us covered.
24. Tootsie Slide (KIDZ BOP Kids version) – Drake
Drake’s lyrics have a few problematic parts when it comes to family-friendly content. Luckily, there’s a clean version.

No one can argue that Kanye West doesn’t know how to make music. Anyone of any age can get down to his beats.
31. Good Feeling – Flo Rida
There’s a lot of positivity in this song, and that’s perfect for entertaining the little ones. It also has lots of rapid rapping that they’ll love to learn.
32. Dynamite – Taio Cruz
Go ahead. Throw your hands up in the air with the kids sometimes. Nobody’s judging. There are some naughty words that usually get bleeped out. You can also find covers by a lot of kid-friendly groups, including KIDZ BOP Kids, of course.
33. Starships (Clean) – Nicki Minaj
This is possibly the most danceable song in existence. There is an explicit version, but don’t worry. Nicki Minaj also released a clean one for family listening.
34. Opposite of Adults – Chiddy Bang
This is literally a song about what it was like to be a kid. If anyone can relate to the lyrics, it’s kids. That’s why there’s a version with anything naughty scrubbed from the audio.
35. Ew! – Baby Kaely
This song might seem at first like it features the rudest girl on the planet, but give it a closer listen. The lyrics are a parody of all the mean girls out there who are secretly jealous or self-conscious themselves. It’s a fun song and a good message for kids.
36. Hey Ya! – Outkast
This is another song with rapid-fire lyrics that kids love to learn. The singer’s distinctive voice makes it even more fun.
37. Can I Kick It? – A Tribe Called Quest
Can you play this for your kids? Yes, you can. Will they repeat this line for the rest of the week? Yes, they will. This 1990 call-and-response-style song is perfect for kids who love to sing along with their first listen.
38. Just Dance – Lady Gaga ft. Colby O’Donis
If you have played the game, you’ve probably already learned the official moves. Lady Gaga gets the family to do exactly what you all wanted to do, anyway. Of course, this track has fewer elements of rap, but there are still some minor elements of hip hop for kids to enjoy.
39. Magic – B.O.B. Featuring Rivers Cuomo
Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr., promises to hypnotize you with every line, and he has a point. Several songs on his top hits list are probably among your kids’ favorites. Maybe he really does have some magic.
40. The Way I Are – Timbaland Featuring Keri Hilson, D.O.E., Sebastian
Hip hop meets electronic dance music with this 2007 hit. Kids are going to love rocking out to it and taking different parts to sing along.

41. The Schuyler Sisters – From Hamilton
Musical theater fans or not, you and your kids probably love Hamilton. That’s because it’s the ultimate in about every genre, including rap and hip hop. The famous song about the Schuyler sisters invokes feelings of Destiny’s Child while teaching kids the history of the American Revolution. That’s a win in just about every way.
