90 Day Fiancé star's 'massive warning' about Taylor Swift's Eras Tour (2024)

A 90 Day Fiancé star has come under fierce fire after she issued a 'massive warning' to Taylor Swiftfans about why they shouldn't go to the Eras Tour.

Stephanie Matto flew across the globe to see the singer perform, branding it as an 'emotionally and physically intense experience not for the faint of heart.'

The 33-year-old, who appeared in the TLC reality series in 2020, recently sparked outraged after she posted a video to TikTok detailing some of the negative aspects to attending the Eras Tour.

Stephanie explained that she traveled from her home in New York City to Edinburgh, Scotland, to see the singer, 34, last weekend.

But she recalled standing for hours on end, waiting in long lines, and having a hard time seeing and hearing over the immense crowds.

She also said she had to deal with 'so many' people who 'had too much to drink,' and that the transportation to and from the venue was so crammed with people that she could 'barely move or breathe.'

The TV star said people online 'glamorize the whole entire experience' and that she's 'here to burst the bubble' - but her take on the Eras Tour left many Swifties outraged.

'Why you should not go to theTaylor Swift Eras tour (a massive warning),' Stephanie titled the video, which was shared to her TikTok earlier this week.

'I just went to the Eras Tour in Edinburgh, Scotland, and here's why I don't think you should go to the Eras Tour,' she said in it.

'People online are romanticizing the Eras Tour, saying it's incredible, the most amazing show they've ever seen. But I'm here to burst the bubble.

'First of all, do not go to the Eras Tour if you do not like standing. Even if you purchased a seat, odds are you'll be standing the entire evening and this show goes for over three hours.

'You're gonna be standing for over three hours because the person in front of you is gonna be standing so if you want to sit down, you won't be able to see.

'Another reason you shouldn't go is because if you want to listen to Taylor Swift sing... Yes you're gonna hear her sing at the show, but you're also gonna be hearing 70,000 other fans singing along with her. It's kind of like a Taylor Swift concert/singalong.'

Stephanie added that 'if you're not someone who enjoys alcohol,' you likely wouldn't be able to 'enjoy yourself' at the 34-year-old popstar's show.

'I noticed so many people who had way too much to drink. They were either passed outside of the arena or being actually escorted out,' she continued.

'If you're claustrophobic, germophobic, or can't stand waiting in lines, I honestly don't think the Eras Tour is for the faint of heart.'

Even so, the former reality star insisted that the Eras Tour was 'one of the most incredible experiences of her life.'

'I enjoyed every single moment of it, but I couldn't help but think, "You know what? This isn't for everybody,"' she shared.

'There needs to be someone out there making a video like this warning people. Maybe this isn't for you, and maybe it's OK if you're a stay-at-home Swiftie.'

Stephanie's video quickly went viral, gaining more than 322,000 views and receiving a slew of angry comments.

'It's so evident some people haven't stood up for a nine hour retail shift,' one person wrote.

'You just described going to a big concert in a large venue any time in the past 50 years,' someone else pointed out.

'That's [what] you go to a concert for,' another user added.

'She's mad that a concert was like a concert,' a fourth comment read, while a fifth said, 'This is more, "Don't go to any concert if you don't like these things." In no way is this specific to Taylor's.'

'Did you think this was the Eras Tour movie in cinema?' a different person asked.

'Tell me this is a parody omg,' someone else said, while another confessed that they were 'trying to work out if it was satire' or not.

'So we all have to sit in silence?' one person quipped.

'I'm 60 and walked two miles to Gillette Stadium and back after I danced for three plus hours standing up,' another wrote.

'Best show of my life... never been around so many HAPPY people in one place. Refreshing.'

'I sat down and saw fine, was sober, and loved the energy of everyone singing. That's the magic,' one comment read.

In a follow-up, Stephanie addressed some of the criticism over her claims.

'People are mad at me because I said they shouldn't go to the Eras Tour because it's not what they think,' she began.

'I just want to clear up a few things because I feel like people really misunderstood what I was trying to say in that video.

'First of all, I loved the Eras Tour and if I could do it again I 100 per cent would ... But one thing I couldn't help but notice while I was there was that it's an extremely emotionally and physically intense experience.'

'People online glamorize the whole entire experience and make it seem so fancy with their beautiful outfits,' she continued.

'What they're not showing you is that this is what the crowds look like when you're leaving the stadium.

'If you are somebody who has anxiety or is claustrophobic, this is gonna be a nightmare for you.

'Don't even get me started on the tram to the show. People were literally squeezing themselves into the tram where you could barely move or breathe.

'It was 100 per cent worth it and if I could do it again I would, but my video was just meant to be a cautionary tale for those who should remain stay-at-home Swifties and watch the show on livestream.'

Stephanie, who identifies as bisexual, was a part of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise's first same-sex relationship.

She often goes viral on TikTok for sharing her controversial takes - and has racked up more than 103,000 followers.
