The award-winning journalist is now moving back to her home state of Texas, closer to family. She'll also be taking a job at the station she grew up watching: WFAA in Dallas. Wall joined KCUR's Up To Date to reflect on her career, her colleagues and her role in Kansas City.

Caitlin started at KSHB 41 in June 2020 and came to us from Central Illinois where she was an evening anchor at WEEK.

Daisha Jones joined PHL17 as a weekday morning anchor in April of 2024. Previously, she was a midday anchor and traffic anchor in Kansas City. She's an Arizona native and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with dual degrees in broadcast journalism and communications studies.

Holmes is now an ambassador for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and is working to support newly injured patients in the first stages of recovery with adapting to their disability, and has founded a production company, Ripples, dedicated to sharing experiences of everyday life and their rehabilitation process.

Scripps Kansas City NBC affiliate KSHB has laid off several staffers. A company spokesperson confirmed with TVSpy that there were some “position eliminations” announced at the station but gave no further details. Scripps also confirmed that chief meteorologist Mike Nicco is no longer with the station.

Mike has been at the ABC owned-and-operated station in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 15 years. However, throughout his 27-year career, his dream was always to come home and be a chief meteorologist in Kansas City.

A peer-reviewed paper was published in 2018, so Gary is now an author of a scientific discovery. He also has written a beautiful children's story called “It's A Sunny Life.” In Gary's free time, he works out and enjoys watching his favorite sports teams, the Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC.

As a KU graduate and raised in Missouri, Meteorologist Mike Nicco is looking forward to coming home. Nicco was born in Leavenworth, Kansas and was raised in Missouri. He received his degree in atmospheric science from the University of Kansas and was president of the Atmospheric Science Club.
