If you’re an All-In fan, you definitely know the world’s greatest moderator, Jason Calacanis.About a month ago, I was invited on his podcast, This Week in Startups, and had the chance to briefly talk about Jellypod. Fast forward a few weeks, Jellypod was accepted into the 8th cohort of his startup pre-accelerator, FounderU.So this past weekend, I flew down to Redwood City, CA and joined a bunch of founders for the kickoff (and had the chance to meet Jason in person). What an incredible experience. It’s just the tip of the iceberg for us - there’s some other really exciting news coming this week (hint: our team’s expanding).

This morning, I hopped on This Week in Startups to talk with Jason Calacanis about building Jellypod as a solo founder.Jason was one of the first investors in Uber, Robinhood, & Calm, so to hear him speak highly about Jellypod and encourage listeners to download it was truly a humbling experience. I go on at ~15:05, check it out!P.S. If you (or anyone you know) is interested in building a new AI platform to disrupt how newsletters & long-form content are consumed and distributed, please reach out!

It’s been two and a half months since Jellypod was released on the iOS App Store, and our users have already created over 45,000 minutes of audio. Wow. Many listeners open the app every single day as part of their daily routine, listening to a summary of their personal news in a convenient audio format.Anyways, I'm excited to announce the launch of Jellypod's most significant improvement to date! I've been busy testing and refining our new advanced method of podcast creation, which drastically improves your daily podcasts' depth, realism, and quality. Check it out!

I cannot believe how badly Google damaged its reputation this past week. If you missed what happened, I strongly encourage you to read about it. I won’t go into too much detail here, but millions of people got a glimpse into a dystopian future where Google is the sole arbitrator of determining fact vs. fiction and right versus wrong. The botched release of a racist Google Gemini showed us a world where facts, truth, and data are bent to the will of a two trillion-dollar corporation. And independent of your political affiliation, I doubt anyone wants to live in a world where Google controls everything you see, hear, think, and believe - including suppressing history and obfuscating your ability to make your own judgments about the world.Google executives knew of Gemini’s biases and flaws and still pushed forward a product that distorted reality. And despite what their PR team might say, this wasn’t just a minor software bug. That’s not how these AI models work. It was fine-tuned with human feedback over weeks and maybe months by actual people. Google wanted the model to provide these answers. It was not a mistake.Google has irreparably destroyed the trust of millions of its customers and proved that it’s no longer the innovative tech powerhouse it once was. When the heat was turned up, with the pressure on high, it failed in the worst way possible. It had the best opportunity to win the current AI race from both a technology and head-start standpoint but decided to lose the trust of millions of its customers instead. I have the highest respect for both Larry and Sergey for building an incredible company that has enabled the modern world we live in today. But it’s time for Google’s reign as the king of the consumer internet to end.And the market won’t fail us on this one. People won’t let a 1984-style suppression of facts and a rewriting of history happen. No one wants Google to be the arbitrator of what is fact versus fiction. Without a massive overhaul of its workforce and realigning its employees towards its initial mission (i.e., one that "doesn’t do evil"), I don’t see a future where Google can survive the next five years. Like they say, the higher you climb, the harder you fall.
